Ember

Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-10-30

These terms apply when you use Ember ("the app"), on any device or in the browser. Ember is made by Isac Rost, Sweden ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

Ember is a player, with no content

Ember plays IPTV playlists, Xtream Codes logins and media servers (Plex, Jellyfin, Emby) that you add yourself. It comes with no channels, films, series or other content, and we don't provide, sell, recommend or link to any.

Your sources are your responsibility

  • You may only add sources you're allowed to use, and only watch content you have the rights to watch.
  • Your IPTV provider or media server is a separate service with its own terms. We don't control it and aren't responsible for what it offers, whether it works, or how it handles your data.
  • Don't use Ember to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to get around technical protection measures.

Your account

You can use Ember without an account. If you create one, keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account. We may close accounts that are used to break these terms.

Premium

  • Premium unlocks extra features, described on the home page. It is bought through the App Store, Google Play or our web checkout, and the store you buy from handles the payment.
  • Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in that store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Lifetime is a one-time purchase.
  • Refunds follow the rules of the store you bought from (Apple, Google, or our web checkout's refund terms). This doesn't limit any rights you have under consumer law, including the EU right of withdrawal where it applies.
  • Prices are shown in the store before you buy, and may change for future periods. We'll tell you in advance before a price change affects an active subscription.

The app as it is

We work hard to keep Ember working well, but we provide it as it is and can't promise that it will always be available, without errors, or able to play every stream. Features may change over time. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for anything caused by your sources or other services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Privacy

How we handle your information is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes go to the Swedish courts, unless the consumer law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring them where you live.
